Walking in the Old town street, spying the daily life of the locals and breezing the scent of antic spices. It’s nice to see another side of Mombasa. Old Town is located near the Fort Jesus in Mombasa city, it’s part of Mombasa that is reminiscent of the days when the Arabs exerted a heavy influence on the town and the architecture.
After spending a few days sightseeing in Mombasa city we decided to head to Diani beach for a retreat. When we arrived Diani beach I was captured by the breath-taking beach scene. A miles long beach with white gleaming sand and turquoise water. The sand in Diani beach was extremely fine. It’s truly a perfect chill-out spot to spend a couple long and lazy days.
The porous limestone shelf of this region with its subterranean system of rivers and lakes create this unique geologic feature. There are over 3000 cenotes in the Yucatan Peninsula. The cenotes are freshwater and they are mostly very deep that formed due to erosion. Cenote Ik Kil is considered to be one of the most beautiful cenotes in Yucatan. It´s located in the northern center of the Yucatán Peninsula, about 3 km from Chichén Itzá.
